Sedona in February

I know that I’ve been M.I.A. in February but it’s not due to a lack of traveling.  In fact I’ve been to Florida, San Diego and Arizona during the month but I haven’t had such great experiences on the road.  Everything from bad hotels to crappy food which was surprising considering a few of the recommendations came from shows on the Food Network.  So I decided not to write anything since I couldn’t say anything nice but now on second thought I decided to write about some of these places after all.

Sedona is one of my favorite places in the world and I am fortunate enough to have a good friend living there so as long as she is there I always have a place to stay.  The weather was nice when I got there and I was able to take a nice hike at Bell Rock.

I found this tree the last time I hiked Bell Rock.  If you look at the roots you will see that the base is twisted which I’m told means that it is sitting on top of a vortex which is a very powerful energy space.

I’ve never been in Sedona when it snowed before so it was so beautiful for me to see the snow on the red rocks for the first time.  The snow changed all of my hiking and outdoor plans but the trip was still fantastic.

I learned on this trip that any time of the year is a beautiful time to visit Sedona.
